Endoscopic surgery is the general name of laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and robotic surgery procedures in gynecology practice. Endoscopic surgery uses areas that go through small incisions or natural body openings to diagnose and treat the disease. Endoscopic surgery, popularly known as “closed surgery”, has advantages such as smaller wounds, ease of diagnosis and treatment, and rapid healing process over open surgery.
Laparoscopy, which is one of the endoscopic surgical methods that yields very successful results in the treatment of gynecological diseases; it is used in treatments such as uterine prolapse, removal of the uterus, urinary incontinence, uterine cancer operations.
